En la fecha 07/07 se llevó adelante la inauguración de la Unidad Penitenciaria VI (Fontana), la cuál consistió en una refacción integral de las instalaciones, ampliando las plazas de alojamiento para personas privadas de libertad.
La misma estuvo encabezada por el Señor Gobernador de la Provincia Arquitecto Leandro ZDERO, acompañado por el Ministro de Seguridad Doctor Hugo MATKOVICH, Ministro de Infraestructura Hugo Domínguez, Intendente de la localidad de Fontana Doctor Fernando CUADRA, Jefa del Servicio Penitenciario Alcaide General Gilda Erika MAIDANA, Subjefe de la Institución Alcaide General Gerardo Fabián SOTELO, Jefe de la Policía de la Provincia del Chaco Comisario General (R) Fernando ROMERO, Subsecretarios dependientes del Ministerio de Seguridad, Concejales y Secretarios del Municipio de la localidad de Fontana.
